Case Study: Kiosks

West Midlands Police recently commissioned Subcom to provide some interactive information kiosks for a recent citizens focus project. The project ran in local schools collecting data on young people and their perception on crime, especially knife crime.  The kiosks needed to be easy to use and tamper proof due to the environment that they were to be operated in. Subcom recommended the multifunction kiosk range to best fit the design spec given. Teaming up with specialist kiosk design department and Subtrakt to incorporate all the specialist software programming. Custom vinyls were used in order to give the multifunction kiosks a unique look from a design perspective.

Kiosk Usability Feedback

The feedback on the project that we received was extremely positive, the software was designed in a way to guide the user through a series of questions whilst using the kiosk in order to collect and report data on the given subjects. The kiosks were also used on multisite locations so were very transportable and easy to set up. Subcom delivered a interactive kiosk that lived up to expectations and was robust and designed to allow the user to interact in the most simplest of ways.
